Introducing Our New Director of Music and Liturgy

Dear Members of Blessed Sacrament Parish,

My name is Sam Skogstad and I’m pleased to be your new Director of Music and Liturgy. I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce and share a bit about myself.

I’m coming to you from Mother of Perpetual Help Parish, which is formerly known as St. Aloysius Gonzaga in West Allis. My love for music began at St. Al’s while growing up and watching my Aunt cantor for many Masses. That love has continued through my high school education at Pius XI High School in Milwaukee, and then on to the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. While I was pursuing my degree, I was also the Director of Music and Liturgy at St. Aloysius and it was truly a wonderful experience.
I’m looking forward to bringing that experience and love of music and liturgy to all of you here at Blessed Sacrament Parish. I’m also looking forward to getting to know all of you and to observe the many talents this community possesses. You are blessed to have Fr. Mark as your pastor along with the wonderful office staff and school faculty and with that I’m grateful to be the latest addition to this family.
